Honda Project 2&4 powered by RC213V Concept
Honda has released a teaser of its newest concept car, the Project 2&4, ahead of its unveiling at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Jointly developed by the Japanese manufacturer’s car and motorcycle design teams, the Project 2&4 is an open cockpit sports car powered by the engine of MotoGP winning race bike – the Honda RC213V.
Project 2&4 is actually the winning entry of an internal design competition conducted between Honda’s global design studios. It was created by Honda’s motorcycle design centre in Asaka and its automotive design centre in Wako, Japan.x
Honda says that Project 2&4 is powered by the RC213V MotoGP engine, which has been modified to make it suitable for street use. This means that we can expect it to get a toned-down version of the 999cc V4 powertrain which powers the street-legal RC213V-S race replica, rather than the full-blown MotoGP engine.
Project 2&4 will make its debut in Frankfurt, Germany, on September 15. We can expect further details to be revealed as the date draws closer.
The Honda Project 2&4 is an open-wheel concept car that was initially unveiled at International Motor Show Germany in 2015. It is equipped with the V4 engine of the Honda RC213V motorcycle.
