The innovative ME.WE concept car you see here is the result of a partnership between Toyota European Design & Development (ED2) and Jean-Marie Massaud, the renowned industrial designer creatively acclaimed for his visionary projects in design and architecture.
His ambition when conceiving the ME.WE was to create a realistic ‘anti-crisis’ car, one that looked for answers to the world’s human, economic and environmental challenges.
The unique collaboration shared the project's vision to mark a paradigm shift in automotive thinking, using unconventional technology that created a concept with three main goals, and the three main are describes in brief 2.
A passionate yet thoughtful car vision that provides a sensory and immersive experience. A car that is relevant and adaptable to a variety of lifestyles while maintaining a high standard of quality and innovation.
The collaboration between Massau and the ED2 designer has created a unique car that redefines expectations for a small, affordable car.
Built round a tubular Aluminium structure, the ME.WE are made from interchangeable extended polypropylene frame panels. This ultra-resilient and ultra-mild cloth makes up the frame, which includes doors, wings, bonnet and bumpers and is 100% recyclable.
