The Mahindra Bolero Neo has a three-cylinder oil burner under the hood. The mHawk100 is a 1.5L working capacity displacement device. The engine produces 98 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. The Bolero Neo can move through most terrains with these values. The motor has a potent low-end grunt and a noticeable mid-range torque. Only the engine's noise increases as the pedal is pressed closer to the higher rev range. Driving the Neo in traffic makes the lack of an automated transmission noticeable because of the heavy clutch.
The ride is soft and comfy. The Neo can handle even the most severe jolts with ease. Tall speed breakers pose little of a difficulty for the Bolero Neo when travelling at high speeds. There is a natural cushion for the ride thanks to the thick sidewalls on the 215/75 R15 tyres. On the Neo, though, there is a noticeable body roll. Thus, this SUV should not be used for aggressive cornering. The Neo's heavy steering is another unpleasant feature. It is also not the most direct unit. Moving the Bolero Neo around requires some strength, especially in parking lots and narrow streets.
Cars under 5 Maruti Suzuki S-Presso
Maruti Suzuki has upgraded the S-Presso for 2022, some three years after the original model's launch. Introduced as more of a compact SUV than a regular hatchback, the S-Presso has done quite well for Maruti with sales of over two lakh units since 2019.

The S-Presso is boxy in shape and has a high stance. The flat bumper with several horizontal cuts gives the front end some muscle, but the headlamps look plain and the 'SUV-inspired' grille is just odd-looking. Overall, we believe Maruti could have given the S-Presso more upscale aesthetic elements for this update because it doesn't seem as stunning as its competitors.
