Someone we miss - Toyota Yaris
In 2018, Toyota introduced the Toyota Yaris, a competitor to
the Honda City and Hyundai Verna. In India's auto sector, SUV
sales may have increased, but 2018 was unmistakably the year
of the sedan. Toyota made significant bets and equipped the car
very effectively.
Toyota failed to attract shoppers in the sedan market despite
having a superb equipment list, ample space, and a focus on
safety. Sales of the Yaris were dismal, and production was
discontinued in 2021 after COVID significantly deteriorated the
already dire circumstances.
The Toyota Corolla sedan served as the design model for the
Toyota Yaris. Its front fascia received a delicate and modest
makeover. The Toyota Yaris wasn't the most daring or manlylooking vehicle in this class, but it featured simple lines and an
ordinary appearance all around. The Toyota Yaris was
constructed using the global "B" platform of the company but
was modified to perform at its peak in India.
When I first started driving, I noticed how very well-planted
the car is. The 1.5L petrol engine responded quickly and
smoothly. A linear distribution of power took place. The Yaris
has a gasoline engine option, and transmission choices include
a 6-speed manual and a 7-step CVT automatic transmission. Its
1496cc displacement resulted in 105 bhp of power and a
maximum torque of 140 Nm at a low 4200 rpm
